18 year old baby
SUCH a baby, I swear. He grumbled and griped about how "This is why I wanted to do them earlier." Look, it's not MY responsibility to get your taxes done Boy. No one did MY taxes when I was 18. I had those things done all by myself and mailed off in January when I was 18. So he stood there arguing with me about how I SHOULD HAVE DONE THEM EARLIER. I got quiet angry. "I'm not going to argue with you Spike. Take them to the post office now, they're due in two hours." At 10:45 the phone rings. It's Spike. "I can't do this, this line is like three miles long." Me: What do you mean you can't do this? They're due at midnight. Get in line and mail them off. Spike: Mom. This is why I wanted to get them done earlier! I don't want to sit in this line! Me: It's not MY job to do your taxes Spike, and I just sat here and filled out your own 18 yr old self's extension, so you get your ass in that line and you mail them off or there's going to be trouble, get it? Um...Pischina? You DO have a computer, and it IS connected to the internet, isn't it? Why didn't you just plunk the boy down in front of it, click on irs.gov and then to "free efile", and have him do them online? Super simple, and no stamps needed. You can do both federal AND state usually. Maybe you should make him wash & detail your car for free for his insolence over the whole thing...
