Happy President-Elect Obama Evening!
Well this election went much better, eh? I guess this birthday on Saturday will be much nicer than the one 8 years ago.
Prop 8 is on its way to winning, which kind of hurts my heart. But Gavin Newsome has declared he will keep allowing the marriages until a judge tells him to stop - and Gavin Newsom has done a lot for this issue. I have no doubt he'll never let this drop.
It saddens me that Prop 8 is winning (not won yet though), but the happiness over Obama's win is at a pretty high level. As upset as I am about Prop 8, Obama's win is a move in the right direction overall. I love seeing the celebrations around the world on the news. It's nice living in a country we can be proud of again.
Well done America.

the mayor of san diego was outside during the no on 8 vigil passing out candles with his gay daughter, I was told though didn't see myself. its heartwarming to know of politicians who DONT reject their homosexual children for the sake of their careers.
You expressed my own feelings regarding the feelings of elation and wonder at Obama's election versus the deep sadness I feel for my brothers and sisters who are going to be affected by the Yes-on-Eight outcome.
I know in my heart the fight for basic rights will continue and will certainly eventually prevail.
For right now I am planning to go out and display some disturbing exuberance - at least I think it will be disturbing to the secretary at my office who went postal last week when someone made a joke about Sarah Palin.
And great news for Spike! I bet he'll be good at Circuit City - and if that one goes under, you can all move to Santa Cruz, since they just announced our Circuit City is not one that will be closing. Yeah ... follow Spikes career and move over here!
Have fun this weekend!
