The heat. The heat. Is KILLING me.
We've had a heat wave since the beginning of August and I'd be a melted puddle of fat and brains and warped textbooks if we didn't have that pool. I'm sooooo ready for summer to be over, but I don't want to say goodbye to that pool. It's been a lot of work, every morning I go out and scrub it down - gotta keep on top of that algae!!! - but it's been worth it. It's been worth every dime I paid, every chemical I've purchased, every hour I've spent dumping chemicals into it and scrubbing it down.
Beyond the heat, it's just been so great for my stress level. Every single day I go out for at least 15 minutes, no matter what, and sit on a raft with a school book or just close my eyes. It keeps me cool inside this house that's over 100 degrees, and it's just so relaxing. I recommend those little above ground pools for anyone who has a little space in their backyard.
So I'm going to miss that pool so badly when it turns cold outside. Guess I'll have to get my stress out by running again, haha.
But for now, it's 100 degrees. So tomorrow we're just hitting the beach.
