Yesterday's Lightning
Looks like there were around 400 fires from the lightning yesterday. I'm glad our little fire never grew to more than that, a little fire.
In other summer news, we bought a pool yesterday. "10 minute set up" it said on the box. They boys (Spike and friend) believed that; I'm an adult and know better, haha. The entire project took at least three hours, since we had to go back to another store to get a foot pump and some pool toys (30 minutes), then friend pumped it up all by himself (about 20 minutes), the boys figured out and installed the pump (10 minutes), we had to move the pool and re-cut some tough weeds that were causing pokies under the pool (30 minutes), and THEN we stick the hose in to fill it up (2+ hours). It's still not full, but it became too dark for me to see after 10pm. So today we'll finish filling it AND spend time in it.
We're feeling all landscape-y now, and want to install some more bushes, a walkway to the pool, and maybe plant some ground cover where the old grass long-ago died. Perhaps we'll have a nice backyard soon!
But no matter what, we'll be cool in the pool!

A Pool! When can I come over? lol
Too late now, but it's a good idea to put a tarp under it. Happy swimming!!!
