Fire away
So we just started having some terrible thunder, which is wierd because it's 95F and the cloud hanging in the sky looked like just residual smoke.
But Spike just called me outside. "Did you hear the thunder?" he asked. "Yes," I replied. "Look," he said, and pointed to the foothills that surround our neighborhood.
Smoke.
Yup, it hit (hopefully) some trees, and we have a fire going in the extremely dry hills. Can't see exactly where it is, it's very near, but I think it's just outside the house line, so it should be a tree.
The sirens are coming now.
