Buffy and the Invisible Pool: Tuesday evening
I came home today around 4:30pm and Buffy and a friend were sitting here in the computer room (20 feet from the pool) watching TV and MySpace, looking hot and sweaty. They'd been there since 2:00 this afternoon. I really wanted to tell them they should go play in the backyard (HINT!!!), but I didn't have any real desire to end our fun game with her. Around 6:00 they decided to walk to another friends house, just in time for Spike to arrive with a huge group of friends to have another BBQ/Pool party. It's 9 pm and those guys are still here, now playing ball in the street (because one friend almost threw a ball into my brand new baby lime tree and Spike recognized that there would be fun for no one if I saw it happen so he moved the party to the street - See? Smart boy). Buffy will be back in about 15 minutes, but it will be dark and she won't see the pool. HEEEEEEEE. I'll have to break down and tell her this weekend, not right away of course, but I'm SURE she'll notice that we're all hanging out in the backyard, in our bathing suits, soaking wet.... SURELY she'll notice that, right? hahahaha... I don't mind all the BBQs Spike is having because his friends all bring the goods and they make sure I get a burger or a hot dog so I don't have to cook. I bought them a trash can for the patio (and taught them how to use it) so they've been very good at cleaning things up after. OMG, this is too funny. I can imagine her sitting there in the house all uncomfortable and hot, and right there in the back yard is a pool that she could have spent the afternoon in, cooling off and having a blast. Post a comment
