Phoebe is eating!
This morning I went in the kitchen to make coffee and Phoebe was right there sitting looking at me (like she always is when someone is in the kitchen). So I got a little bowl out and put some wet food in it and set it in front of her... and she started licking!! She didn't eat a lot, but she did lick it a lot. This is wonderful! She's getting stronger, she's eating and drinking... maybe soon she can start on the pet food that will fix her stones! Three of the kids' friends came over yesterday at different times, three friends that Phoebe loves. She's not a very loving cat, she won't sit in your lap or anything, but she is very social and loves to say hi. I think the visits really cheered her up, I'm serious. She sat next to them and they pet her and talked to her and kept offering food and water. David often spends the night and he's the only person EVER that she ever wanted to sleep next to. So he spent the night last night in the family room with her. Sure enough, this morning she was sitting right next to him. I'm so afraid to say "Looks like she's getting better!" cuz she always goes backwards, but as of today she is better than she has been since last week. So I am happy.
