A Grown Woman: Phoebe = 10:30pm

She got her nice warm bath - she wasn't too happy with it, but for a few seconds her brain clicked back into place and all four feet worked just fine as she tried to climb over my shoulder and down my back. It was pretty cool actually, because the feet were definitely working in sync - hopefully her brain can figure that out again. But mostly she sat still for it.

Re: a butt shave... The vet shaved her butt a week or two ago because it was coated with poop and urine - the problem now is that she can't climb out of the litter box without rolling in the poo when she's done. And her long hair just picks it all up. Shaving ALL of her sure would help though. But I've been pretty quick since that first disaster and we'll just deal with it as it comes.

After her bath I wrapped her in a clean towel and she sat on my lap and slept while I watched the Paris Hilton hoopla. Now I'm tired and we have a long day tomorrow, so she's back in her house eating again, and hopefully she'll doze off for the night after that.

I may have to brush her in the morning though, because her hair is a mess after that bath, heh.

It's like taking care of a sick baby, heh. Hopefully this baby gets better and relearns what she has to do.

It makes me so happy to hear that she fought to escape the bath! Sounds like real progress. Lots of hugs to Phoebe and you.
