My silly silly silly little wanna-be-big-time city...
It seems that the police have a lot of problems at 2am when the bars close here. Drunken, rowdy crowds don't wanna go home and the police are tired of fighting with them.
The solution?
They just passed a new ordinance allowing the bars to stay open until 3am.
Yep. That'll solve the problem. (am I the only one who doesn't get the logic here???)

Wha? I thought that was a state law, the bars closing at 2 am.

It looks like they are staying open until 3am but will stop serving alcohol at 1:30am, trial period for 3 months. Well, that's a little different. I guess we'll see - it's not like I'm anywhere but bed at 1:30am, haha, so they can do whatever they like.
