In response to Catie's so so SO nice and concerned comment (HEEE) I have to say I have not been bored for one second since Phoebe got sick. I'm sure it probably came across in my minute by minute story telling of her progress, but I have played 24 hour nursemaid to her for about 10 days now. All my days and nights were spent caring for and worrying about her.

To the point that now she acts like a little baby. Like I said before, Phoebe was never a loving cat, she never wanted to sit on your lap or anything. But she was a very social cat, she loved to come and say hi to everyone but then be on her way. Not anymore!!! Now she doesn't want me out of her sight, if I take her outside she just wants to sit on my lap, she meows and meows for us to pick her up. It's quite hilarious really.

Me getting so sick at least stopped me in my tracks and helped me remember what it is to just sit and relax. I've finished two books in the last three days and am getting ready to start another one. Also, Lanie sent me three books from her collection that look really interesting. Now I am really looking forward to just sitting around this summer and reading!!!

This morning Phoebe jumped the baby gate I had put across the front door, and was already getting ready to cross the street when I caught her. Silly kitty!!! The doctor said her walking problems were probably due to a bladder infection caused by the stones. The antibiotics are taking care of that and she is getting better and better, but she still stumbles occasionally. If she can manage to jump the fence in the back yard then I'll believe she's ready to cross the street. For now she remains under house arrest.

Back I go to read some more. I feel so much better today but still am pretty weak. Could be because I have only had that one half sandwich in the last 36 hours. Also, my ribs are terribly sore from throwing up for 5 hours straight. Ugh. Glad that's over!!!

Everyone have a good weekend, I'm out for now!

So glad to hear Phoebe is better, even if she is now your needy kitty. Just a thought -- Tink has bladder stone issues too. The owner of the pet store we go to said to have her drink only bottled water because it doesn't have all the minerals in it that tap water has. Now, we buy it in jugs and add these drops to it as an extra preventative. Sounds crazy, but she's not had any problems with that stuff since we switched to bottled water for her ten months ago. Seems to be working.

Congrats to your son on his first job. Very cool! Also, glad your spell with the barfs is over. Five hours of it? Holy crap, that's just awful!!!
