« Happy Freedom Day Paris! | Main | A better day so far... »

Today didn't go that well, but it wasn't horrible or anything.
~Burned my hand with hot oil making french toast this morning - nice bubble on my thumb now.
~Missed my gym time so I could attend a work phone call that was canceled without telling anyone in my office - felt like I lost a gym session, had my entire morning wasted, and not happy that no one thought to tell me or my co-worker. This post not directed at any work people who read this, just venting because those ten minutes on hold actually wasted four hours of my morning. JUST VENTING.
~Went to work, the report I need to DO my work STILL isn't printing correctly, and for the umpteenth week in a row it looks like I'll get it three days late.
~A certain manager at work believes it is okay to pound a beach ball back and forth IN THE OFFICE, hitting it against ceiling tiles, and yelling like she's partying at the beach. I don't understand this. She slammed it into several cubes whose owners happened to not be there. When one cubicle dweller returned, she was surprised to see a cup of water on her desk was knocked over and spilled. Stupid Manager sat there quiet as a mouse and never admitted what she did. I (with the help of my co-conspirator) stole one of the beachballs and brought it home where it can be played with in the back yard where it belongs. I set my co-conspirator on a mission to shred the other when everyone left.
~But then Buffy surprised me by saying she was at her dad's house typing out her notes for her science test tomorrow.
~And then came home and did all her chores as soon as she entered the house. Am bracing myself for the story behind all that.
~Phoebe's progress has halted. She does not jump higher than a chair and isn't as spunky as she used to be. Also shows possible brain damage in some minor ways, but only in ways that make me laugh. But I hope she does regain her spunk.
~Tried to start reading Shakespeare's "Troilus and Cressida" for my research paper and discover that I hate it just as much as I remember - I don't know how I'm going to finish it, it makes me crazy.
~Spike went on a dinner date with a very nice girl he has known for years. Took her to Pasta Pomodoro, paid for their dinners himself, then took her to Starbucks where he taught her to play poker. Sounds like a lovely date to me!
~Oh, also, he quit his gelato job because he was hired as a lifeguard at Raging Waters! For more pay! And much better hours!
~Looking forward to swimming at the pool tomorrow morning. It's become something I really look forward to.

See? Good and Bad, and nothing traumatic. Tomorrow I get to swim, the work phone call is scheduled later in the day, my work report has finally been run correctly tonight, hopefully the beachballs will all be dead, and hopefully Buffy continues on - dare I say it - the correct path.

And now I go to bed.
