Sour Grapes from a Pulitzer Prize-Winner
God, SHUT UP Annie Proulx.
In this article the Pulitzer Prize-Winner actually changes the name of the film Crash to Trash (wow, that took imagination!), and refers to the Academy voters as "heffalumps". She also blasts them for giving best actor to Philip Seymour Hoffman. It appears she's livid because Brokeback Mountain didn't win every single award it was nominated for.
Get over it, Ms.Proulx. Brokeback Mountain was a good movie, it was a GREAT movie, but the best movie of all time in the entire universe it was NOT. Complain about losing while showing solid evidence if you like, but why would an award winning WRITER choose to complain with a childish tantrum? Shame on you.
