Thank ya'll, but PLEASE stop apologizing - I love YOU
Okay guys, for the last time, I'm not mad at any of YOU, my FRIENDS, and all you who stood up and defended me. I'm mad at some very stupid people that I'm trying to calm down about because if there's one thing I cannot stand it's STUPID PEOPLE. The comments were coming in on here, in the guestbook and by email, and when they started attacking YOU, my FRIENDS, I got really really mad. Most of those were deleted right away because I didn't want you to read them. I can handle, for the most part, attacks on ME, but not on people who are defending me. So please, all you who are apologizing, please stop, because I really appreciated what you tried to do. Scott's here right now and we're reading quietly in the other room, but I may be around tomorrow.
Oh yeah, and today? Payday. Today? The first day of ME NOT BEING POOR. Yes, POOR. We went OUT TO DINNER. I PAID for dinner, for ALL FOUR OF US, because NOW I HAVE MONEY. Yesterday? No money. Today? Money.
And you know what else I figured out? The delete key. That's all I need, is the delete button. Delete Delete Delete. Delete stupid people. So bring it on Stupid People. I just delete you.
I should have listened to Catie from the very beginning. She told me to do it and I didn't listen.
Anyway, I love ya'll.

Dudes, I'm not mad at
Dudes, I'm not mad at any of you my friends! Come on! I deleted ALL the notes, all the entries, all the guestbook entries because why keep any of them? I want the whole thing to stop, that's why I deleted it all. If your comment is deleted it has nothing to do with you, I just want the mess stopped. That's all.

You guys are just unbelievable.
You guys are just unbelievable. I've had enough! STUPID! This is stupid stupid stupid to go on and on and on over a comment I had every right to say. So I deleted EVERYTHING, it's GONE, you guys can go argue over something else. Sometimes you guys just make me sick, and I'm NOT talking about all of you, but the rest of you know who you are. This is now DONE, you can all go AWAY. Good BYE.

Happy happy happy
Ya know, one thing that makes me REALLY happy about the money I'll be making is knowing that now I can get some little things for some computer people who have been very nice and helpful to me over the years. And birthdays! Presents! And thank yous!
It's just nice. It's nice knowing I can be a giver again, instead of just a taker.

Almost that time
So I'm almost ready. My mom said "NO ONE WEARS BLACK! Except Spike."
Spike refused to wear anything else, which anyway, is the only color he has in his closet. I don't know what Buffy will wear, but she said it isn't black. I went shopping for clothes today and bought a very crinkly Mizrahi white blouse, and some black pants that aren't quite capris, but aren't completely long either. Kind of just like high waters, heh. But Yeah, the pants are black. Mom will have to deal.
I think this is the first funeral for the kids, well, Buffy attended Jason's (their godfather) with me, but Spike was at camp. We'll see how it goes.
Growing up I never knew anyone who died except a friend from elementary school who was dead two years before I found out, and after that not until I was about 19 or 20 when my music teacher died. Other than that... I had a childhood friend die of leukemia when we were in our 20's, and my mother-in-law's parents died a few years ago. Other than that I've been lucky. My kids have lost their godfather, three great-grandparents, countless pets and now their grandfather.
Anyway, we'll be at the Methodist church on Winchester and Hamilton at 4pm.

Should we re-visit this again?
So...
I'm watching Extreme Home Makeover again, and I don't care, I'm still standing by my opinion that this is a show that does some good in this world. I really don't care about product placement in this show, and I really don't care if 90% of the people in the crowd are just camera-whores. I can even look past the FACT that many of the "designers" on this show are complete ignorami. (If I had a VCR I could totally do fantastic TWoP recaps of this show)
If it takes all that for the network to drum up blind support and a faithful audience so that the show stays on the air and deserving people can get houses, then so be it.
I'll give you this, I really don't know if every family has "deserved" a new house - more than other people do anyway. But for the most part, they do.
So anyway, that's it again.

I hate animals at the moment
Okay, so I'm at my mom's house this evening for dinner, and when it's time to go I find that my dad's dog, a little white fluffy thing, has EATEN my sandals, BOTH of them. EATEN them, ya'll. I think this is my dad's revenge for actually hiring the black gay guy to sing at his funeral.
So I come home, and Phoebe Cat is EATING another bird in the dining room, although just so we know she follows her manners, she was crunching it up over by her food dish. She doesn't just eat birds off the floor.
BAD dog!!!
BAD kittie!!!!!

Too. Much.
My concentration is just SHOT. I try to do my school work, I try to study, but I can't even pick up a book. I can sit and stare at the TV, but I can't concentrate on school. This is finals week. I've been excused from all my work last week, and teachers are accomodating this week, but I still need to finish somehow.
Did I tell ya'll we're cremating my dad in his golf clothes? Yeah, I think that's good. I wrote his obituary and my mom said that would make him very happy.
So I have to fit in the services, all my finals, all my make-ups, my science presentation that I was so prepared for Wednesday night, and now I may have to do my interviews for that job on Thursday. I don't even know how I'm going to fit that in, fit it in to my HEAD.
AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHH just let next week be OVER already.
Did I mention Buffy's confirmation is tomorrow? Yeah. It is.

I need to sleep for a week
I am just EXHAUSTED. Yesterday seemed like it lasted for an entire week, at *least*. We went to my mom's house for dinner and had a good time, she was doing better though her phone rings every five minutes and the doorbell rings in between. We are leaving for the mortuary in 1/2 hour to make arrangements, they said it would take 2-3 hours, I'm not sure why, but I guess we'll find out. He's being cremated. My mom's sister will arrive this afternoon. Then I'll go to work, and out to dinner with Scott this evening. I'm looking forward to that, very much. Tomorrow, Saturday, my mom and I meet with my pastor because he's going to do the services. Sunday morning is Buffy's confirmation, and my mom is going to come. Wednesday at 4pm the service will be held.
And in between all that I have to do my make-up science presentation, a make-up history exam, take my science exam, and re-schedule my American Literature exam. All my teachers are understanding, of course.
I had a good night's sleep last night, but I'm still exhausted. I am so looking forward to dinner with Scott tonight.

My dad
My dad's heart stopped last night and my mom found him laying on the floor at 1am. He died. I was up all night with her, and we'll be making arrangements for him today.
I'm tired.
I'll see ya'll later.

Also...
And if I don't get that other job with my friend, there's a job opening at my college for about the same rate of pay I get right now. Only the college is right behind my house, like one half of a mile, just across the street basically, so I wouldn't even have to drive - which would save me a good $100 a month. I've had my eye on those college listings for a year now, because how awesome would it be to get a job there? And right behind my house? So if I don't get the high paying job, I'm going to get the college job.
I think I better train that new girl at work for a little more than what they've asked me to, heh.

Almost...
My presentation is going excellently, and I wanted to thank you all again who helped me by filling out the survey. If you still want to I can still accept the help, so just visit the diary and go back one or two entries. Like I said, I will post the answers as soon as presentation is completed, which will be at the end of the week..
I'm so happy it's almost done!
Now if History would just sort of disappear!
And then all I'll have are the essays! Yay for essays!

Today's a good, accomplished day
WOOOOOO, Go me!!!
Finished 98% of my science presentation, due Thursday.
Checked out the last four tapes I need to view before Wednesday's History Quiz.
Re-worked resume and emailed to Friend.
AND... Cleaned out garage to make way for new washing machine.
Have I mentioned this? A friend at work heard that I did not have a washing machine (it's been broke for a year and a half, repair man says no can fix, too old), and she just happens to have a spare machine in her garage. That she's giving to me for free! FREE!!! Her drier had broken so then went to get a new one and there was a great deal on washer/dryer sets so they just got a whole set even though the washer worked fine. And I know that girl, she keeps spic and span house, I know that washer will be in great shape.
So we're leaving to go get it in 20 minutes. And then it will be wash wash wash and absolutely no complaining about it! WHEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Love that WalMart
Remember the pop culture T-shirts they sold on The Apprentice a couple weeks ago?
And when Tana and Alex were selling their "limited edition" "only 300 made" at $42.99 for men's shirts, and women's at $54.99... remember?
Well good thing YOU didn't pay $54.99 for that shirt because now they're at WalMart for $9.96 each.
BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Of course, you probably don't get Tana's bedazzled diamonds on them, so that probably makes up the price difference right there.

I truly love my professor right now
That blasted science presentation is due this Thursday, well, six people at a time each week, and I volunteered to do it first.
Someone bop me on the head for that.
So by Tuesday I was so overwhelmed trying to get this thing put together, along with all my other work, that I found myself just frozen up, I wasn't doing ANY work.
So I sent my teacher an email, the one whose wife my company put in collections? And I told him I was overwhelmed and knew I could get an A but needed one more week, and I knew that he didn't have to give me an extension but I had worked very hard this semester and could really use the extra week, and pretty much promised him I would get an A if I just got one extra week.
So then I stressed even harder because if he didn't give it to me, then I was up the creek. NO paddle. And a hole in the boat.
I got my email today!
"Pischina,
You have been an exceptional student this semester. You have earned your extension and it has been granted.
Professor."
HURRAH!!!! Now I have a week and an entire weekend to work some more on it! And really, I really will get an A, I'm going to do GREAT.
Thanks in part, to all you who filled out my survey. So thanks again to every single one of you.
I feel so much better now that I have unfrozen and am doing all my work like a good little girl. Who knows, maybe I'll even be ready by Thursday.
But I won't. By next week I will.

I. Don't. WANNA. *stamp*!!!
Somebody please complete my science presentation for me.
I will love you forever.
It's due Thursday - orally.
I don't mind the oral it's the written and the research and the powerpoint that make my brain go "lalalalala let's watch Lemony Snicket instead."
Lemony Snicket wasn't even that good.
But it's better than this.

NOT fleas
So Saturday morning I'm sitting in the coffee shop with Scott and my cell phone rings. And it's The Ex telling me that Spike has "flea bites" "all over his body" even his face, and so I need to set off a flea bomb in my house.
Okay, so the fleas do love Spike, and the fleas love me, and they tend to leave Buffy alone, probably all that sour blood she has, heh, but I thought it awful odd that Spike would be COVERED wtih bites when I didn't have any, plus the fact that he didn't have any bites when he left the house in the morning.
So I argued with The Ex a little bit but not much because, well, I was at the Aptos coffee shop and he could kiss my ass and take care of his son for once.
So I pick up Buffy for her confirmation class this morning and she's telling me how Spike is always so nice when he's sick, and I asked if he was sick right now. She said no, he wasn't sick, but he had "flea bites" all over him and was miserable and itchy, and in her opinion Spike needed to get to the doctor because "he gets more bites every day."
Okay, the bites are appearing and spreading while he's at HIS DAD'S house, but the fleas are supposedly at MY house.
So this evening I speak to Buffy on the phone and it turns out that Spike does not have flea bites, he has POISON OAK. From crawling all around in the creek with his dorky 14 year old friends.
Now he's covered with calamine lotion.
Hee.

"Write about your favorite place," the professor said
Okay, are you ready for Poem #2???
You ARE???
Wierdos.
:-)
Aptos Coffee Roasting
Two fast cups, I recite
The Saturday morning ritual
One poppy seed, extra toasted
with sundried tomato
one pesto with butter
I hand the cash in my hand
To the man with the ponytail
Bring one coffee to my man
His nose in his book
Saul Bellow.
My coffee goes back to the counter
Pour the cream, tear open
Four packets of sugar
He looks up and grimaces
Sugar ruins coffee, he says
Again.
One poppy seed! One pesto!
Yells the ponytail man
I take the silver envelopes and sit in my chair
Open my literature book, he puts down
Saul Bellow
Prepares his bagel sips his coffee
And I sit and watch the people
Outside the window
The surfers sip their coffee
in the fog
The little red haired boy runs in
With his red haired mother
They walk past the tables
Where the outgrown hippies sit
I’m in a band, says one
We do Black Sabbath covers,
mostly.
We just need a drummer
And a lead singer.
I smile to myself and look up
My man is smiling too.
I bite my bagel, sip my coffee
The pesto and cheese go well with the sugar
I think.
