Hard part over, Semester half way done

Science Project Done!!! WHOOOOO!!!! That's the biggest project I have this semester and I'm all finished. It's all easy from here...

Also, I looked at the online SJSU catalog last night, and taking 2-3 classes per semester will definitely be an option when I get there. So that's a relief because I didn't think there were enough hours in the day to do it, but I'll be graduating on schedule after all.

I still can't believe I'm actually doing this! Only one year ago I decided to go back to school and by the end of summer I'll have completed 34 units.

Now if someone would just come and clean my house and fix my lawnmower for me everything will be Peachy.

Busted

I went to pull up my diary to read something real quick while Spike was sitting behind me playing video games. The trick is, bring the site up, then scroll down ASAP so no one reads the title and starts thinking about things...

So I nonchalantly bring it up, scroll down real-fast, and -

"PISCHINA DIARY OF A GROWN WOMAN" exclaims Spike as he finishes shooting the bad guy on TV.

That boy's too smart and too quick, how can he be failing Algebra AND Journalism????

Good Bye, Fade-In's Mom

Fade-In's mother passed away last week.
It's a really touching entry.

I haven't received any grades yet this semester in either of my english classes, but two essays are due to be graded any minute now and I cannot wait to find out my scores. Please Please don't let her take all week to post grades!

Update! Again! ...And Spike too!

First of all, I updated, AGAIN!!! Yeah, I KNOW!

Second of all, I was sitting here hitting "random entry" and reading my some of my old entries, and I get to April 13, 2003, and I read "Spike got his report card today and he got straight A's!"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAA!!!!!

Like I'm ever going to get a chance to write THAT again. Then again, you never know with kids. That's the only thing you can count on is that they will always surprise you.

Happy Boobs

So with some of my last little extra change left from my student loan (it all went to bills) I bought a new bra from Target, a black Gilligan & O'Malley bra for $10.00 and I LOVED it. I loved it SO much I went back and bought two more... a white one and a RED one.

Do you know that after 26 years of wearing a bra I don't believe I've ever had a red one? Even when I worked at Victoria's Secret?

Well, I have one now.

I rather like this Spring Break idea

So you know I haven't been to school in 18 years and I'm nearing the end of my first year and so really this week of Spring Break is really the first "vacation" I've had in quite a long time (don't get me wrong, I'm still at work this week, heh) and it's just been really nice on my brain to not have to DO anything. I'm trying to stay focused though and keep my eye on the prize. In 14 months I'll have my first degree, WHEEEEEE!!!!

Anyway, what I was trying to say before I got sidetracked by Spring Break AGAIN...

Is that I have a science project I need to finish by next Thursday and with my schedule I really have to finish it by Sunday and I totally wanted to do it this evening, like every other evening this past week, but I just don't feel like it yet. I just want to sit and watch TV and The Apprentice and veg.

I think I'm going to do just that. Science can wait for Saturday.

Or Sunday.

Or Wednesday.

Madchen Amick I love you

So I don't watch TV much since we turned cable off, and I haven't watched ER in years, but I did see it when Cynthia whats-her-name played the lady with the stroke (scariest episode ever, heh) and I've watched it a couple times since, but what struck me was this BEAUTIFUL girl playing Wendall on ER. So beautiful I looked her up on IMDb and what do I see? She's Madchen Amick! My second favorite actress from Twin Peaks, only 15 years older and somehow 50 times more beautiful.

I know, I know, enough with the "beautiful", but this girl entranced me when she was Shelly on Twin Peaks.

So anyway, then I chanced to see "Jake in Progress" and... there she was again, unfortunately only in a bit-part because I'd totally watch that show if she was permanent.

And now I turn on "Joey" because it's spring break and I don't have science tonight and who do you think is guest starring??? Madchen Amick.

She must have found a much better agent, and that's all the better for us because I love this girl. But how did she age 15 years and get more beautiful???

Terri Schiavo

I just hope that after all this Terri-Schiavo-feeding-tube-mess that more people will make it crystal clear what they want done if they are ever in that position. Write it down, sign it. Otherwise the government is going to decide for you. Or someone else is going to make the wrong decision for you.

About this particular case - I don't know if I agree with removing a feeding tube. Machines that keep the body alive are one thing, but starving a person... I'm not sure. And that's why this case is so sad, and it's too bad that no one knew for sure what Terri wanted.

Scribble your wishes down on a paper, sign it and put it in your jewelry box - tell everyone where it is. Then you'll be safe if it happens to you. No, that's not a legal document, but it's better than nothing.

I'm going to bed now.

Hear ye Hear ye!

So after talking with Scott this weekend, and after my son's school district just decided to layoff over 500 teachers, I have decided to stay in school until I get my Masters.

Then I can teach high school, college, whatever. Wherever the job is, heh.

Just call me Professor Pischina, heee.
