The Finish Line....
I totally bombed my American Literature final so I am probably guaranteed a B in that class. Next time I'll take the research paper option which at least give me a chance to proof and redo my work instead of pulling 2 essays of crap out of my ass in 2 hours. BLAH. Yesterday I had my Oceanography exam, and I really thought I would get at least a 90 on it, I knew my stuff SO WELL. I only needed about an 80 to get an A in the class. I started the exam and knew all the answers... until halfway through when suddenly I didn't know CRAP about the questions. Then I started getting way bummed because I was so sure I was getting an A in the class, and I really needed the A to get on the Dean's List, so finally I finished and went Christmas shopping. Then I realized I was one of THOSE students, you know the ones, the students you want to slap because they're crying that they got an A-. Well I finally understood what they were going through. I know I should be super-happy if I get a B in my classes, a B is a good grade... but what upset me was that I studied SO HARD. I worked so hard and was sure I was going to do well. THAT's why it's disappointing. Anyway, the teacher promised to post grades by Saturday night... and he did... and my score was a 78. Which got me... An A-!!!!! Believe me, an A- is A-Okay with me. An A is an A, haha. Also, I got the very highest score in the whole class, and the second highest grade for the whole semester. Only 2 A's in the whole class! WHOOOOOO!!! Okay, and now I've been up since 5:30am so I can finish a 10 page research paper that's due this evening. No more fooling around. Posted by Pischina at December 19, 2004 6:14 AMComments
