Hey, get posting, Sister

And Lanie still doesn't *have* a blog. Hmmm... I'll have to check on that.

Posted by Pischina at 7:18 PM

Speed it up, Missy

Itsy's blog... takes... too... much... time... to... load...

The Apprentice

Heeee.
That was good.
Good job, Mr.Trump.
Love you, Carolyn!!!

I love it when people make themselves look like asses and then don't even realize it. This episode was Great.

Teacher's Pet

Have I mentioned that I'm doing really well in school? Also, my teachers love me. Heee.
:-)
My Survey of Am Lit teacher loves me and gives me career advice, my Critical Thinking teacher loves me and emails me often, and my Oceanography teacher likes me because... We both know Will! HAH!

Also, I heart my online classes SO much. The telecourses, not so much, but the online ones are great.

Posted by Pischina at 6:10 AM

I was physically ill when I saw them

My next essay in Critical Thinking will be 750 words about the Abu Ghraib prison.

And may I please say that since magazines and newspapers did not print most of those pictures, and me without TV, I have managed to miss most of them and had no idea they were so bad.

We should be ashamed of ourselves. The line between Us and Them has more than blurred in this case. It makes me sick that I have to write an essay using those pictures.

Posted by Pischina at 6:07 AM

Only the yucky ones left

So these are the only classes I have left to take after this semester:

Speech
Science with lab
2 math classes
History part 2
Spanish

I may possibly have to take one more semester of PE, and I'll probably retake English 1B. If I can find an online Survey of English Lit class I can transfer that class over too. But otherwise, that's it.

Posted by Pischina at 6:02 AM

Very good News

I just talked to one of my english teachers and she recommended not worrying about getting my English AA first. Just finish my transfer classes, then go right to SJSU and get my BA much faster. What a relief!!!

That means 9 less classes!

That means I finish the first half of school in Fall of 2005!

I may really be done before my son finishes high school!

Posted by Pischina at 10:59 PM

Also, I am totally going

Also, I am totally going to be a teacher like Tina Fey.

Okay, well I'm going to look like her. I'm even thinking about cutting my hair like hers... already have the glasses, heee.

Posted by Pischina at 10:59 PM

Tina Fey.... Sighhhh..

We rented Mean Girls from Netflix... And we're going to buy it, Buffy's seen it at least ten times in 4 days, and I would watch it over and over and over just to see Tina Fey in her wet T-shirt... again and again and again... I don't know what it is about her, but I just LOVE her.

Egads, Man!

Dr.Heimler... BACK AWAY FROM THE ASSIGNMENT SCREEN! PUT YOUR MOUSE DOWN! STOP TYPING ON YOUR KEYBOARD! GO TAKE A NAP OR SOMETHING!!!

In the ten minutes I've sat here trying to take a break and read from Television Without Pity I've seen FIVE NEW ASSIGMENTS pop up in the online classroom, all due this week.

I need to hook my camera back up to this computer so I can post more pictures.

But first I need to go to sleep. Good Night.

The Apprentice

I dunno if I agree with what happened tonight on The Apprentice. While Stacy J is a whacko, she was a whacko a couple weeks ago, she didn't do anything wrong this week. HOW far did Omarosa go last season???
And calling everyone in to vote on her craziness... awfully insensitive, especially with all those UNQUALIFIED people, ya know, I don't think any of them had "Psychiatrist" under their name.
And just the fact that... Donald Trump took a vote. Why couldn't he decide this for himself? Why doesn't he just ask them all in to vote every time? I mean, if he wants a vote, didn't they all vote out Stacy LAST week?
Here you had two very qualified-to-be-fired people sitting right there in front of him, and he let them pick on the one girl who was trying to stay out of the way and do a good job.

Now I'm wondering if they did it on purpose just so we'll watch it on Saturday to see what REALLY happened.

Sighhhh.... Trump, just let us enjoy the show please, I don't want to have to THINK while I watch my 2 hours a week of TV.

Posted by Pischina at 10:56 PM

I just read in my

I just read in my son's blog that his current girlfriend broke up with him.
Awwwww...
I feel so bad for him.
Really.
Even though I'm sure he'll have another in no time, I know he's hurting inside.

Posted by Pischina at 11:09 PM

Also, I talked to Charleen

Also, I talked to Charleen when she was in the hospital after giving birth, like last Tuesday or Wednesday, and then I haven't heard from her since. So I called her Monday afternoon, Tuesday afternoon, and again Wednesday afternoon.

Then I called her mother and left a message wanting to know IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH CHARLEEN?????

Charleen called me tonight. She's okay. So's the baby. They're just, you know... New Mom and New Baby.

Worry time over.

Posted by Pischina at 11:02 PM

Here he is, the New Character:

Okay, the entry about the Long Lost Boyfriend is now up, and it's loooong.

Posted by Pischina at 11:00 PM

Mewwww... Mewwwww...

I thought I heard little Phoebe Kitty crying and mewing so I was looking all over for her, but it turns out...

It was only my tummy. Heee.

Posted by Pischina at 10:59 PM

WHOOOOO

I have lost at least 6 pounds since I started school (I'm not sure how high I had gotten up to).
Between not having enough time to make something to eat, no boredom to say "I think I'll have a snack," and a toothache,
My diet is doing great, hee.

Also, my neighbor's chimney is

Also, my neighbor's chimney is blowing right into my bedroom window. My bedroom is kind of stuffy right now, after being shut up all weekend, but if I leave it open it's going to smell like our old burned up house.

I'm leaving it open anyway.

Posted by Pischina at 7:21 PM

I love my DSL service

I love my DSL service SO much more than I love Scott's aol.

That is all I have to say at the moment.

Posted by Pischina at 7:19 PM

Diary Update

Again, can't use NotifyList from Aptos, so here's your notification for now:

Read the update of my life HERE.

And I TOTALLY FORGOT to mention that Charleen had her second son Tuesday morning. He has light brown curly hair and light brown eyes, but I haven't been able to see him yet because of the drama at our house with Spike.

But you'll hear about that in that link up there.

Survivor Vanuatu

Okay, so someone tell me what was the point of that "tribal ritual" thingie where the females were completely excluded??? Point? Anyone? Bueller?

Posted by Pischina at 5:02 PM

Wow. I'm speechless.

I just got an email, from out of the blue, from my high school boyfriend who I was crazy in love with when I was 16. I mean, crazy verging on really really really crazy, heh.
He really means nothing to me now, but he did a lot then, and he just wrote to tell me that I've always held a special place in his life - and I almost broke out in tears.
There's a long story behind this guy, it was just a high school thing, there's nothing there now, REALLY, but it means a lot to know that someone you cared for so much back then really did care about you too.
I'm kind of overcome with emotion right now, and this is just quite unexpected.

Posted by Pischina at 12:10 PM

Hey, Lanie!

If you're out there, and I know you are, email Reality and she'll help you with your blog.

I gotta go write another damn paper.

Posted by Pischina at 7:35 PM

Hey!

Reminder: Is anyone helping Lanie with her blog yet???

Posted by Pischina at 10:10 PM

Sunday

Ah Sleep, Blessed Sleep.

I was able to sleep the whole night through and my tooth didn't even hurt when I woke up (it started again about an hour later though). We went to church and there was some sort of festival there, so we stayed until about 2:30, eating candy (yes, candy), free barbeque burgers and chips, and collected several stickers and bookmarks and bracelets, etc.

Came home and finished my next paper for Critical Thinking (At 7 pages I'm not sure if I wrote too much, I don't seem to have a problem with quantity, that's for sure - hopefully my quality is just as good, heh). Tried to read more in my Survey of Am Lit book and the next chapter of Critical Thinking, but got sleepy and took a half hour nap on the couch.

Went outside to do laundry. Last month when we didn't have any money for the laundromat I took a big ole Rubbermaid bucket and washed the clothes in that. It's so hot in the summer it was a pretty refreshing activity, actually.
(Spike, on seeing me in the back yard: "MOM! Have you lost your MIND???" heee)
It's actually so refreshing that Buffy has been helping me, and even washed her brother's clothes all by herself when he forgot to get them out for me. So now we're saving $40 a month in quarters, and hopefully we'll get a washing machine in the next couple months. And don't worry, we'll have enough quarters by the time it gets cold here.

And now I'm just reading my school books some more. The online classes are pretty damn great, I have to say. I would recommend them to anyone - well, anyone who knows how to use a computer and is willing to do their work. If you're thinking about going back to school but aren't sure if you have the time, I say sign up for one online course and go from there.

And that's it. Back to my reading. It's been a very happy day so far.

Movies!

This week from NetFlix we have:

JerseyGirl
The Object of My Affection
Resident Evil
It Could Happen to You
Anywhere But Here

The Object of My Affection (with Jennifer Aniston) has been boring me to tears, I keep falling asleep every time I try to watch it... on the other hand I've had 2 hours sleep in the last 36 hours. Also, I do not share the Jen love that the world has. I mean, she's okay, but she's not The Goddess.

It Could Happen to You was a pretty cool movie, but then again I love Nicolas Cage, Bridget Fonda and Rosie Perez. But the disc crapped out on us at the very end, so I didn't get to finish it.

Resident Evil is for the kids, I saw it a few years ago and it was okay, but I probably won't see it this week.

And now I'm going to sit down, eat my bean burrito (soft food for my tooth, heh) and watch Anywhere But Here. And not think about school until after church tomorrow.

Help Needed!!!

Lanie's blog is all messed up, apparently, so if any of you could help her fix it I (and she) would really really appreciate it! Please Please Please, is anyone out there who knows what she can do?

Posted by Pischina at 8:15 PM

Done!

I finished my first college paper in 18 years and turned it in online. Now *that* was one scary thing, hitting that "submit" button, knowing there was no getting the paper back for corrections. Just *POOF* and it was gone.

I think I'll get an A though, heh.

And just so you all know this, and I'm totally seriuos, every one of you who is either in school or has graduated is an inspiration to me. That includes Courtney, Sabby, Mocksie and Itsy, and ALL the rest of you. I admire each one of you.

Posted by Pischina at 8:11 PM

Oh yeah, and my Survey

Oh yeah, and my Survey of American Lit book arrived in the mail today, just in time for me to start my readings for Monday.

But I also have to finish a chapter in Critical Thinking so I can finish writing about it, and right now I just want to take a nap.

ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz....

Posted by Pischina at 1:39 PM

So... tired...

I was up the entire night with a toothache, finally went to sleep at 4am and woke up with the toothache again at 6am.

At 9am I was in school for my History orientation. It went very well, I really liked the teacher and think I'll do well in class.

at 10:30am I was in orientation for Oceanography. Again, I think I'll do very very well - though looking at the class grades from last year, only 2 people got A's, about 4 got B's, and most everyone else got C's and D's. I'm going to get an A though.

Now I am exhausted. I took probably 16 Advils last night, maybe more. Almost lost the last one down the sink this morning, it was like slow motion, "Nooooooooooooooo" and then I caught it. Went to the store to buy Extra Stength Tylenol (was looking for Super Duper Strength Tylenol, but I guess they don't make it) and was able to barely tolerate my classes.

I just want some sleep. The tooth isn't bothering me as much right now, but please oh please let me have some sleep tonight.

Also, my first papers are due tomorrow. I've written 6 pages so far, only have 2 pages to go.

HELLO "THE DONALD"!

Ten more minutes until The Apprentice starts again!

I have been busy re-working my resume and getting it ready to send out to school districts, there are always non-teacher jobs available that can get me the experience I need. AND I've been doing my homework - Critical Thinking may be the class that kicks my ass, it's quite a load all by itself. Hopefully I can keep all four of my classes and do well also!

But for now, it's an hour break for THE APPRENTICE!!!

Posted by Pischina at 7:51 PM

Awwww... Relaxing

I'm sitting here in the air conditioned college library (it's been consistently over 100 degrees F this week) and waiting for my next class to start. Free internet access at school, WHEEEEEEEE.

Had another run-in with the Bitch-Supervisor-From-Hell today, and yesterday. I tried to make nice yesterday morning, it quickly went bad, she's gunning for me and there's not much I can do. Except get a different job where I never have to see her face again, because honestly? I'm about to bludgeon her with a club. But ever since school started yesterday I've felt much Much MUCH calmer and less stressed - less stressed than I've been in a month. She can't fire me until she hires someone else (well, she CAN, but it wouldn't be a smart move) so I'm safe while looking for another job.

And what do you know, there are quite a few well-paying jobs at school!

That will complete my happiness, and I'll be on my way to a stress-free life.

I also found a great job for Corina, paying more than twice what she makes, she's totally qualified, and Supervisor will be up shit creek if Corina leaves. I told Corina that would be even better than *me* getting another job. "What? Corina quit? Oh gosh, that's TERRIBLE. I guess she actually applied for that job I told her about, huh?" BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA

Jersey Girl

I walked into the house today and Buffy was sitting in front of the TV watching Jersey Girl for the second time... Today.

"MOM! It's SO SAD! It's made me cry like, THREE TIMES already!"

So we sat down and watched it again. It's cute. It's good. It's not spectacular, but we'll probably buy it.

A) Ben Afflek does his best acting in Kevin Smith movies, I don't know why he can't get his act together for other directors.

B) Liv Tyler really didn't do her best acting at all.

C) Kevin Smith tends to populate his movies with all his friends, who do quite well in your typical Jay-and-Silent-Bob type movies, but not that well in your typical romantic comedy. This would have been much better without most of them (except Jason Lee and Matt Damon had great cameos).

D) Dear Kevin Smith, your wife cannot act. Stop putting her in your movies. Thanks.

But again, it was cute, it was nice, we'll probably buy it. Cuz we're suckers, heh.

I'm a Student!

WHOOOO!

I'm a Student!

And I just turned in my first assignment!
(A Bio on myself... OOH, Hard! heee)

AND... I was the first to turn it in!

Actually, this was for Survey of American Literature, which seems like a pretty good class, it will be harder than I thought, but okay.
Tomorrow's class, Critical Thinking, looks HAAAAAAARD! And I have to do a 10 page research paper! But it has something to do with the Fast Food Nation book, so that's probably okay.
BUT... Some of the essays I have to write will be about:

Rush Limbaugh and Fallacies

Gay Marriage

THOSE sound interesting!

Okay, I'm off to bed.

Posted by Pischina at 11:28 PM

Which do you prefer, Jennifer Garner? or Ben Afflek?

We had signed up for the Season Three dvds from Alias, and I was hoping to get the first disc sent today (it comes out today and we just finished Season 2 yesterday).

We weren't one of the lucky ones, but we are going to get Jersey Girl first.

Has anyone seen it?

I can't wait!

I went to school to

I went to school to fill out my papers for a student loan, and you know what they're making me fill out?

A Student Loan QUIZ.

I have to answer all these questions about the loan process, and where the money comes from, and interest rates etc., and all the answers are in this big ole folder-of-info they handed me.

Imagine that!

A Quiz! At SCHOOL!!!

Heeee.

Monday

This weekend has been one of those unbearably hot ones, with temps close to 100, which makes it ten degrees hotter inside my house.

I have read like crazy over the summer, and now cannot find interest in any new books. I think my mind is just preparing for school to start Wednesday.

I ordered my last book on eBay today, $47.00 at the book store, $16 for me. I've spent about $250 on all my books, but they would have been over $500 at the bookstore.

We're reading Fast Food Nation for Critical Thinking. I found my copy at Jamba Juice.

I still find myself bored to death at home, and after almost 3 months of this, I know I am really really ready for school now. I plan on getting all A's. I have 12 units, making me a full time student. Egads.

I took a check for $700 from Scott. I hated it. But was relieved too. Now I actually feel much better about our relationship... with this check everything is covered, I won't have to ask him for money again, and we won't be poor once this month is over. As long as no emergencies pop up at least, heh. But knowing that we're square now, and I won't have to ask anymore... that just relieves a lot of stress.

It's hot, did I mention that?

Since I have access to my pics at Diaryland again I was just going through them and realized I had a couple of me that weren't half bad.

The aol at Scott's house never let's me log into NotifyList, so I'm just here to tell you I wrote a very very very long entry in the diary about what's been going on, mostly last week.

Here it is!

Posted by Pischina at 11:59 AM

Happy Friday!

Well it's off to work for my bloody tormenter, then off to Aptos to be with Scott for the weekend. It's been a month since I could get over there and we are both missing each other very much. I will try to write from his house if he has class Saturday morning.

Happy Weekend!

Jason Mewes, Gimme some lovin!!!

The Passion of the Clerks...

Oh yeah, I'll be seeing that!!!!!

Posted by Pischina at 6:12 AM

What's on your... Today?

Okay, before I clean the kitchen I'll play "What's On... Now?"

What's on my bathroom counter right now?

A mirrored stand that holds lotions and bath salts and stuff.
Toothbrush holder with 2 toothbrushes.
Two china bowls from Japan, one holds cotton balls one holds Q-tips.
My "love sticks" that Anenigma sent me.
A little framed Post-It that Scott wrote "Hi, Miss you! Love, Scott"
A silver necklace from Eliza that has a little pink flower hanging on it.
Two curling irons, one slim, one thick with a brush.
One hand towel.
Two hand made hemp necklaces that Moxie made me.

That sounds like a lot of stuff, but it's a big counter and very very neat.

This Thursday has been one SHITTY day.

Oh Yeah, Ms.Pischina, as another kick in the pants this lovely day that's sucked sweaty monkey balls since 7:30am, I cannot add a diary entry into Diaryland because I'm no longer a gold member. Since I've always been a gold member, I never had to experience this before. Ever.

Well it SUCKS.

I need me another job. I mean as in an *additional* job, heh. Okay, maybe an additional one to whatever one I trade this one for. Okay, but now I'm rambling and ya'll don't even know a thing that's happened for the last month, and I've been unable to write for so long that the words are virtually stumbling right out my fingertips.

I better go clean the kitchen.

Oh yeah, Ms.Supervisor is a FuckingWhinyBabyBITCH. There, I said it. May she now rot in hell.

Oh yeah, I have a lot to get out of me all right...

Posted by Pischina at 6:54 PM

Okay, I don't even know

Okay, I don't even know what to do here any more, It's like my first day EVER on the internet, I'm just sitting here in front of the monitor trying to think about what to do...

In the meantime, I have to make dinner. Just be assured that I'll be around MUCH MORE now!!!

And... School starts in 7 days! Wahooooooo!!!!!!
